- some of the CT1610 kit parts:
- a photo with the CB808 Capacitance Bridge, a CTT10 Transmitter with PK910 Battery Power Supply, a CTT10 Transmitter with PP808 Mains Power Supply, the MK1 Transmit Signal Earpeace, LA1 Near Field Antenna, SY1 Feed Antenna, SA2 Bar Antenna (Long) and my HBBA1 Home Brew Bar Antenna in the foreground (01.05.2017)
- a photo with the CTR803 receiver and optional level meter, the CTR804 receiver, CTR804k receiver and in the foreground my homebrew 10125 Hz antenna before molding (01.05.2017)
- the homebrew 10kHz antenna is wound on a 16cm long LW/MW ferrite bar (Blue/Brown coding, 9*10 mm dia)) with 250 turns of 32 strand Litz Wire (0.04mm diameter strands) and resonated with a 100 nF polypropylene capacitor of adequate voltage, the whole thing epoxied into 16mm dia plastic electricians tubing
- exquisite engineering and workmanship, packed with electronic and mechanical detail, I just love these devices - use them for locating cabling, water pipes, magnetic field experiments, EMC location work (in wideband detection mode) and propagation demonstrations on 1.6 and 10 kHz
- some other CT1610 kit parts not in the photos:
- RM16 Transformer Clamp
- AK7 Battery Cable
- KV1 Antenna Handle
- KA2 Capacitive Antenna
- KL40 Transport Case (small)
- KL50 Transport Case (large)
- SS2 Headphones
- AK1 Antenna Cable, 1.25m
- VJ Mains Power Supply Cable
- SJ1 Feed Cable
- HBTC1 Home Brew Transformer Clamp
- all equipment has been refurbished and repaired, in full working order and in regular use
- next project: a waterproof, submersible antenna for underwater cable location ;-)
